Dear All,
One day, I was asked by my ex-schoolmate a question, how to start a conversation with our God?
Actually this question has been questioned by most people, especially those who are in the midst of unsolved problems, where nobody could help you out. And from there on, you shall look for Him. But how to talk to Him? Do I need to make an appointment or to talk to His assistant before?
The answer is Not at all. No, God is not a CEO of a huge company where you need to arrange an appointment or whatsoever. He is the the Most High (remember when we sing Sanctus during Mass; “Hossana in the highest!). Is it possible to Him, the highest amongst all, for He is the creator of all creation, but He always available when we need help?
I’m telling you, the answer is definitely YES! For Him, nothing seems impossible. Talk to Him, have a conversation with Him anytime, anywhere, without any restriction. Of course, it’s not like a situation when we talk to a person who is going to answer you after your finished. This is totally different matter. Although it looks like you will never hear His voice, but He is truly listening to us, and He’ll give you a response. The way He responds is likely different, probably through a person you do not recognize, or probably miracle!!, or something that beyond our expectations. Believe in that, it’s real! I experienced it myself, and will tell you someday. There’s always a way out if you look for Him, do not go for any other gods and ask for help, to practice something that is an opposition towards our faith. Remember the second order of the ten commandments, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”. It is enough to depend on Jesus Christ, Our Savior.
To start a conversation with God, simply make a sign of cross, and start to pray. You need not arrange a very good sentence or prepare an opening speech like what you did in your presentation. You may consider Jesus your best friend, start with,”Dear Jesus”,or “Jesus, how are You?”, and then tell Him what you need from Him. It’s easy, am I right? Again, do not worry about having the “right” words, as long as it is from the heart. It need not be long as well. A prayer followed by saying “Our Father” or “Hail Mary” will do. Keep praying, never think that your prayer is not granted because God did not listen your prayer. He always grants us the best according to Him. Remember, we are not more than just a sinners and full of weakness who need help. Do not worry once more…, sooner or later, you will realize that it is really the work of God.
“Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied” (Luke 6:21)
God Bless!
